If you are in Christ, you are a member of His body, His Church, God's saint. In Christ, all saints, every member in Christ's Church, has received grace and real peace from God our Father and from the Lord Jesus Christ. We are chosen in Christ. We are predestinated to the adoption of God's sons by Jesus Christ. We are accepted in Jesus Christ, the beloved of the Father. All of our sins are forgiven by the redemption that is in Christ’s blood. God has made known to us the mystery of His eternal counsel, His will, His good pleasure, which He purposed in Himself. That will is the eternal salvation of His people by the redemption that is in Christ Jesus. God has appointed and exalted Jesus Christ to administer all things in time, in creation and in providence to bring about His eternal purpose of grace for His Church and to subdue all their enemies. The Church is God’s eternal inheritance which He chose for Himself in Christ. And Christ is the eternal inheritance, the everlasting portion, of His people (Ephesians 1:3-11; 3:11; Psalm 16:5; 119:57; 142:5). In Christ we have wisdom, righteousness, sanctification and redemption (1 Corinthians 1:30). The fullness of the Godhead dwells in the Lord Jesus Christ bodily, and His people are complete in Him (Colossians 2:9-10). All who are in Christ join the apostle Paul by forsaking all other confidences before God and desire this alone with one settled and unshakable confidence: "that I might be found in Him!" (Philippians 3:7-10)
All that you ever will be or have will never be more or less than what you are and have in Jesus Christ. The Lord Jesus Christ is God’s ordained Representative, His chosen Surety and His appointed Substitute for His people. God looks nowhere else and no further for all that He requires and demands of His people than to His Son, their Mediator. If you are in Christ, His history is your history before God. What He did in life and death is your life and death. And He now appears in the presence of God for us. He remains your Surety. If you are in Him, His life is your life, His answer to God is your answer, His righteousness is your righteousness. If you are in Christ, you are a member of His body, His Church, God's saint. In Christ, all saints, every member in Christ's Church, has received grace and real peace from God our Father and from the Lord Jesus Christ. We are chosen in Christ.
